Concept: Anybody can submit a pattern to Apollo to be used on the website and available for a price that is more than standards but less than customs. Each pattern sold will bear the name of the submitter ex. M.Irk “Name”. User can submit a name, but we will review.

• No logos
• No dates
• No names

Process:

• Art is submitted through website.
• Once pattern is on website, designer will be sent an email that it is now available with link.
• Turnaround time is 2-4 weeks.

FAQ’s

• Is there a royalty?
• 5% paid for 5 years, regardless if it becomes an “Apollo standard”. After that, no more royalty fees.
• Will the pattern ever be deleted?
• No, available on the website.
• How will you know which standard you are looking at on the website?
• Differentiating the artwork, will say the program name with it, and different part number sequence.
• Can someone submit more than one pattern?
• Yes

In 2004 a paper was posted on the wall in the sales department with a saying, I am sure most of you have seen it or a variation. It read:

“Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part”.

I have always considered us a customer service driven company and just having it posted upset me. I pulled it down and went to the task of rewriting it. Here is the Apollo version of it:

“Poor planning on your part constitutes an emergency in your eyes and a rare opportunity for us. We can impress you with our attentive attitude, unmatched service, and willingness to make your concerns our concerns. Consistent performance during events like these is what builds customer loyalty”.
