Product Installation … miniProfile Zooms

While doing client visits, KC stopped at one of our recent success stories with the Spotlight line, an installation at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  Ten white miniProfile Zooms were installed 40′ in the air to project light onto sculptures in the lobby. Due to weight limitations, the Spotlight miniProfile Zoom was a perfect solution for this application.  The user is extremely happy with the results.

The Spotlight miniProfile and miniZoom fixtures are used in the Ben-Ri Electronica booth (1-F29) and ShowLED booth (2-M18) at PLASA.  Apollo is an authorized distributor of the Spotlight mini line.

Small Stage Lighting Option – Spotlight mini Architectural line

In my years of stage lighting, I worked in many facilities that were converted from other uses to venues for shows. There are several types of facilities that are more popular than others. Churches are the most common. They are a natural choice for converting in that they have the seating or space for an audience and a natural performance area. They occasionally have track lighting or wired lighting positions installed as well. These spaces are usually smaller than theatres and have lower ceilings. Another popular venue is a converted storefront. These are common because the space is fairly inexpensive to rent. NOTE: be aware that as a renter of the space, you may be required to leave the permanently mounted lighting positions as well as any staging built into the space when your lease is terminated. When working with physically smaller spaces with lower ceilings, the electrician should consider using smaller physical profile fixtures. The Spotlight mini line from Apollo works beautifully (continue reading…)

The Benefits of Being a Sphere

The Spotlight miniProfile and MiniProfile Zoom from Apollo incorporate a spherical reflector and multiple lens system. These optical elements combine to produce a crisp, clean gobo projection. These are added benefits of a spherical reflector! This type of reflector is perfectly suited for a Fresnel lighting fixture such as the Spotlight miniFresnel. But wait, there is more!  One lamp for multiple fixtures is a great advantage for small theaters, museums,  and retail venues. The Spotlight miniProfile, miniProfile Zoom and miniFresnel all use a 300 watt GE incandescent lamp for great optics and light output. Take a look at one at your local Apollo dealer!

Spotlight Profile Zoom Shipping Out!

Just walked by the shipping desk and saw a couple of our new Spotlight Profile Zoom‘s shipping to a dealer in Ohio.  The application appears to be a retail application which is just perfect for the unit.  Be sure to ask an inside rep how you can get a demo if you have not seen the unit.
